Environmental Home Solutions is a local family owned Radon Testing and Mitigation company, with the goal to make safe and healthy living environments throughout Central Ohio. Our mission is to provide professional radon testing and mitigation services to homeowners, real estate professionals, and businesses, ensuring the well-being of our community. With a focus on expertise and personalized care, we are dedicated to delivering effective solutions and peace of mind to our clients.
Environmental Home Solutions was founded in 2014 by local brothers Bill Friend and Jon Friend. Since that time EHS has installed thousands of systems both residential and commercial throughout Ohio. Jon is no longer involved with the business as he is focusing on his other business interests. However, Bill is still at it, testing and mitigating hundreds of structures every year.
About The Owner
Bill Friend Radon Specialist License: RS282
After graduating from Ohio University, Bill spent 15 years in various positions in the construction industry in Central Ohio such as Production Manager, Operations Manager, and Estimator. In January of 2014 he co-founded Environmental Home Solutions LLC, a Radon Testing and Mitigation Company. He has held an Ohio Radon Mitigation Specialist License since that time. Bill has personally installed thousands of radon mitigation systems and has tested as many structures.
Bill has sat on the board of directors for the Ohio Association Of Radon Processionals for six years. He also sat on the State of Ohio Radon Standards Revision Committee.
Bill and his wife have lived in the Central Ohio for over twenty years since completing college, and have two children that they love to spend time with. In his free time he enjoys hiking, golfing, and attending musical performances. ​

At Environmental Home Solutions LLC, we follow thorough radon testing protocols dictated by the Ohio Radon Mitigation Standards to accurately assess the radon levels in your property. Our State of Ohio licensed professionals use certified equipment and protocols to ensure precise results, allowing you to make informed decisions about the safety of your living environment. Our process for radon testing is quite simple. We place one or more if required radon monitors in your house (usually basement if you have one). We leave the monitors there for a minimum of 48 hours and then come back to pick it up. Later the day of the pick up we send you the radon test report generated from the data gathered during the testing period.
